Alondra Mary Thackeray, born June 9, 1993, passed away in peace on June 11, 2021. Alondra was born with cerebral palsy, but she never let dealing with that lifelong condition affect her weather. She was sunshine—smiling, laughing, singing.
She had more friends than she could count, from school and through the many outings she enjoyed. She loved going to the movies, dining out, and attending birthday parties, especially her own!
Seeing the world through her eyes was a gift to all who knew her. Her beautiful blue eyes lit up during the holidays in the winter wonderland of sparkling lights at the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village.
She had a love of Disney, Elvis, dolls, and pop music. Some of her favorites included Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. She often sang along to any music that would play, including the musical West Side Story. Alondra had an infectious smile and laugh. She had a wry sense of humor, and she was smart and witty. She loved to tease and joke, and roll her eyes if you didn't get it.
Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandmother Margaret, her dad Patrick, mom Barbara, and her two brothers Trent and Justin, and her great grandparents. She still had room in her heart for her aunts, great-aunts, cousins, and stepmothers and a host of other friends and relatives.
There are so many beautiful things that could be said about this beautiful girl. We're sorry to lose her. But we know that heaven has gained another angel.
