Amalia Doty

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amalia Florence Doty, a cherished and loving wife, mother and friend.

Amalia passed away peacefully on January 30th 2025, a few days after her 95th birthday in Henderson, Nevada. She was born on January 22nd, 1930 to her parents Andre and Frances Susan in Trinidad, Colorado. She was married to Homer Doty in 1954 until his death in 2005. Homer was in the United States Air Force and they were stationed in various places in the USA and also overseas in England and Okinawa. Amalia was a homemaker raising their two children. Amalia resided in Las Vegas and Henderson continuously since 1972.

She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Annette and Carl Schmidt of Amarillo, Texas, and Marc Doty and Shelly Kent of San Diego , California.
