Annie Scott Ferrell

March 7, 1947 — March 31, 2024

Annie Faye Ferrell was born on March 7, 1947, in Morton, Mississippi, to Jack and Kathleen Scott. She had four brothers - Billy Scott (Velma), Bobby Scott (Barbara), Leroy Scott (Patricia), and Otis Scott - who preceded her in death. In the early 1960s, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she found employment at The Sahara Hotel and Casino in 1967 and worked there until she retired.

Annie met and married Percy Ferrell, and they had three children: Percy N. Ferrell, Vanessa Ferrell, and Tonya Ferrell-Smith. Annie achieved many things in her life, including being the captain of her high school basketball team and running track. She found Christ at Greater New Jerusalem at an early age and was baptized by Reverend F.N. Addison. She continued to fellowship under Bishop Dr. James M. Rogers Sr. and was later called into ministry at New Jerusalem Worship Center. She assisted with bible study, prayer, and acted as a spiritual advisor over the ushers, greeters, and shepherd care. She would visit the sick and shut-ins and co-labored at outreach. Minister Ferrell loved singing and expressing her gifts. Annie is survived by her three children, Percy N. Ferrell, Vanessa Ferrell, and Tonya Ferrell-Smith (Sam), her grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
