Betty Jane Byrd was born December 13, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Dorothy Morgan and Lawrence Leroy Byrd, Sr. She married Kent LeVaughn Harris on May 15, 1961. Over the next ten years, Betty gave birth to six children; Romarque, Sheridan & Sheryl (twins), Kevin, Trevor and Genii. Betty Harris was preceded in death by her siblings Bernice, Douglas, Michael, James (Littleman), Malcom, both of her parents and one grandchild Ashton Harris. Betty is survived by her brothers Lawrence Byrd Jr. and Baron Byrd. Her children; Romarque Harris, Sheridan Harris, Sheryl Richardson (David), Kevin Harris (Dawn “Nickie”), Trevor Harris (Kim), and Genii Tidwell-Gutierrez. Seventeen (17) grandchildren and fourteen (14) great-grands. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends all who loved her very much.
