Carol Louise Wheeler aged 80, passed away August 11, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV. Carol was born October 19 in Butte, Montana to Joe and Beverly Barry. The family grew and Carol became an older sister to Joe, Diana, and Steven. The family packed up and moved to Lewiston, MT for a short amount of time, but finally settled in Three Forks, MT. Beverly ended up divorcing Joe, and later married Tony Lutkie. Tony was a great father and helped raise the children as if they were his own. They grew up a happy family. Carol enjoyed such activities as tap dancing and baton twirling so much so that in high school, she joined the drill team as a baton twirler. During her senior year, Carol worked at The Grill Café. One day at work, Carol met Gene Wheeler (while buttering his toast), the two hit it off and eventually married. They lived together in Deer Lodge, MT and welcomed a baby girl Desiree. Carol worked hard in Montana and received her beauty license and became a hairdresser. The family moved to Boulder City, Nevada where Jeff was born and soon after moved to Las Vegas where Shalee was born. In Vegas, Carol joined the Avon team as a representative. She was a hard worker and became a manager at Avon having great success until her retirement after 25 years. Carol valued family and her Catholic faith above all else. She spent a lot of time at Christ the King where she was a Lector. Carol was always known for how she presented herself, she always made sure to look her best and have the biggest hair. Carol is preceded in death by her brother Joe, her parents, ex-husband Gene, and daughter Shalee. Carol is survived by her daughter Desiree, son Jeff (Kathy), sister Diana (Mike), and brother Steven (Laura), her four grandchildren and Shawnta (Steven), Weston (Megan), Josh (Hanah), Caitlyn, her great-grandchildren (4), and several nieces and nephews.
