Curtis" Curly Top" Joseph Hall Sr., a former Clark County School District teacher for 20 years, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 29,2006 at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas.
He was 91, born on October 29,1915, in Boley, Oklahoma.
He lived his past 46 years of life in Las Vegas. He served in the U.S. Army before beginning his career as an educator in the Oklahoma Public School System and ending with the Clark County School District.
He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Phi Fraternity.
On December 29, 1948, he married Lorrayne Wilson, taking her as his wife until his dying day. He captured the hearts of his children and all those around him as a family man and as an educator. His beloved grandchildren knew him simply as "Papa".
"Curly Top" was a name nearly all friends and family adopted as well. Curly, you will be greatly missed; we anticipate the day that we are reunited.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hall; mother, Julie Hall; and one grandson, Dr. Darrio J. Hall.
Curtis leaves to celebrate his memories, a loving wife, Lorrayne W. Hall; one daughter, Yvonne"Jackie" Hall; one son, Curtis "CJ" Hall, Jr.; one grandson, Kyle Kimble; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held on;
Thursday, January 4,2007 from noon-6 p.m.

A private memorial service will also be held.
