Curtis Daniel Sromalla

Danny Sromalla was a native of Las Vegas. He was born at home on June 26, 1948, to Alfred and Norma Sromalla.

Danny lived his life fully and enthusiastically. A natural athlete, he loved the competition and camaraderie provided by sports. He enjoyed all sports including motorcycle racing, softball, snowmobiling, go-carting. He is well-remembered for his years of drag racing and car racing. Slowing down meant league-bowling for over 20 years.

He grew up loving anything with a motor and had a passion to know how it worked. This passion led to building a show-quality beautiful black ’62 Corvette.

The love of cars and racing inspired an entrepreneurial spirit which led to the establishment of Dan’s Driveline in 1985. He became the premier provider of custom engines and drivelines in the industry. A friend said. “Dan could always fix any drivetrain issue and make the Dyno room sing with impressive Pro Stock power.”

He lived his Christian faith and his honesty, integrity and honor were well known in the industry. He and his wife Vicki garnered the admiration and respect from the professionals in the motorcars industry.

Danny and Vicki enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and towing their side-by-side RAZR to camp sites. They loved the thrill of a RAZR ride on mountainsides. They were often accompanied by dear long-time and new friends.

Danny is survived by Vicki, his wife of 48 years. His daughter Kristen, grandson Stefan Mueller (Karina) & 2 great grand daughters. Also his granddaughter Kailyn Mueller.

His brother Mark (Shelley) and sister Beth Casper (Herb) still live in Las Vegas.  He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was mentor to his nephew Brick who now manages Dan's Driveline.

Danny’s absence from the lives of so many family and friends will leave a void in all our hearts. However, we take comfort in the fact that he made us all better for having known him.
