Dan was born in New York and resided in Nevada since 1982. He was a carpenter/craftsman. He was a lover of all living things, an artist, creator and collector; he was able to appreciate and share the world's beauty in ways most people would overlook.
As an honorably dicharged corporal in the U.S. Army with a generous spirit, Dan spent years as an active member of numerous veteran's associations and became a compassionate advocate for the special needs of all veterans. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Veterans of Foreign War, the Marine Corps League, Jewish Foreign War Veterans, the Disable American Veterans, American Legion American Veterans, Cooties and the Desert Rats.
He was commander of VFW Post #10468 of Searchlight and a board member of several of the veteran's associations.
Dan was a beloved father, grandfather, brother,son and friend.
He is survived by his son, Phillip; daughters, Diana and Jezreela; grandsons, Aaron and Joshua; brothers, Howard,Tim and Aaron;mother, Rosalyn; his adopted Martinez family and many very dear friends.
He will be truly missed by the people he touched.
Dan will be honored at the following services;
Funeral Services will be held at Faith Christian Church at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 16th.
Interment will follow at noon at the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery.
A reception will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Railroad Pass Casino, 2800 S. Bouther Highway.
A Service of Remembrance and potluck dinner will take place Saturday, September 17th at 4:00 p.m. at the Searchlight Community Church, 301 N. Highway 95, Searchlight, Nevada.
