Donald Joseph Razy

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald J. Razy (76), loving husband, father and grandfather, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away peacefully at home on October 22, 2024, ending his battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Don was a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America, became an Eagle Scout, and went on to be awarded the Silver Beaver. He graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in 1966. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He married his wife, Elaine Lucas, in 1970, and together they have 3 daughters.

He worked at the Las Vegas Valley Water District, eventually becoming the treatment plant Manager, and retired in 2004 after 33 years of service. Don was a 2nd generation Nevadan, born in Las Vegas on January 16, 1948. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Razy, and his mother, Helen Joy Malner Razy. Donald is survived by his wife, Elaine Lucas Razy and his children, Kimberly Morse Kirchner (Eric), Kristen Allen (Jon), and Karen Condos (Patrick), as well as his six grandchildren, Ashley Mateo and Kailey Morse, Katelyn and Zackary Condos and Jackson and Avery Allen.

A viewing will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 9:30-10:15am at the Viking Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3901 E. Viking Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am. Interment will be at 2pm at Bunker’s Memory Gardens, 7251 West Lone Mountain Rd in Las Vegas, NV.
