Douglas Nolan Jacobson Sr. "Jake", passed away peacefully Jan. 8, 2004 among loving family members and friends. Please don't mourn my leaving you, I have gone to be with my son who took this journey before me. He was born in Santaquin, Utah on Nov. 29, 1935 to Carlos Nels and Mable Houghton Jacobson. A resident of Las Vegas for the past 43 years. He was retired from his lifelong career in pest control, where he was a partner of Southern Nevada Pest Control company. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army from June 1954 through June 1956 and received an honorable discharge. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Cazier Jacobson; brothers, Keith Jacobson, John Jacobson and Carlos "Junior" Jacobson; daughters, Joy Peterson, Vickie Peterson, Terri Smith, Tanya Christensen, Clairann McAnally and Kathy Stilson Daley; sons, Douglas Nolan Jacobson Jr. and Allen Harding; 31 loving grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Meadows 4th Ward. Viewing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 12, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd., North. Viewing 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, service following, both at Cheyenne/Mustang LDS Chapel. Burial will be at Eden Vale Memorial Park.
