Born in New Orleans to Ed Lewis and Ida Mae Stewart of Tuscaloosa, Alabama on 7/10/1942 and departed this life on 10/12/2020.  She was baptized early on in her young life on 7/10/1954 and was 3rd born with 7 brothers.

She was preceded in death by:  Moses Hughes, Arthur Hughes, Roefeldred Lewis, Edward Stewart; survived by Roy Rogers, Miner Rogers, Stanley Rogers.  She was the mother of 6 surviving children.   Five from her 1st marriage to Robert Bell Sr.(deceased) who are Yolanda Bell, Robert Bell Jr., Norman Bell, Tara Bell, and Michele Bell (Holmes); one child Emanuel Burke, Jr. from her 3rd marriage to Emanuel Burke Sr.(deceased).

Eddie Mae has touched countless lives and was loved by many for her charismatic and gregarious personality.  She devoted her entire life helping others while being the “go-to” person for many.  Though she was a part of many contributions throughout her life, she was a visionary and enjoyed devoting her time as a Soror to Beta Pi Sigma Sorority, Alpha Zeta Chapter in New Orleans, where she served as Basileus and later became a National Sergeant at Arms.

She will not only be sadly missed by her immediate and extended family of 4 current generations, but also by her Sorors and a host of very close friends, as well as friends in government and in ministry.
