Elwood was born in Washington, Utah. He was a resident of Las Vegas for 60 years. A Korean War Navy Veteran and a former member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Edna; one son, Derek Neilson of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lisa Thomas of Chandler, AZ.; and eight grandchildren.
