Emma Yolanda Schweitzer

08 On June, 19,2006, Emma Yolanda Schweitzer, passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father after a valiant five year battle with cancer. A 50 year resident of Las Vegas. Emma was born May 17,1938,in Phoenix, AZ. Emma dedicated 20 years of her life to the Clark County School District as a health aide at Bonanza High School and another 20 plus years serving as a foster parent for the Adoption Services Division of Catholic Charities along with her husband of 47 years, Len. Her baking, strength and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Leonard G. Schweitzer; her daughters, Maria Schweitzer and Rebecca Wilks, both of Las Vegas; god-daughter, Adele Bernard of Virginia; her brother, Frank Garcia of Colorado; sister, Virginia Colbers of Arizona; her four grandchildren; four Yorkies; and other relatives and friends too numerous to list. Vistitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 23,2006 Bunkers Mortuary 925 Las Vegas Blv. North Funeral Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24,2006 St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 1111 Michael Way. Burial will follow services at Palm Memorial Park Northwest 6700 N. Jones Blvd. The family would like to thank the angels at Nathan Adelson Hospice for their love, and compassion through-out and would like to request that in lieu of flowers donations to be made in Emma's name to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, Adoption Services Division.
