Frank Peter Aranbasich aka 'Poppy'
Passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on November 14, 2019 at his home with family by his
side.
Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia , sons Mark, Stephen wife Stephanie,
grandchildren Christopher and Shelby also a great grandson.
Frank was born in Union City, NJ in 1937. He later moved to Las Vegas in 1945 completed his
education and worked various jobs including a lumber yard and the railroad before starting his
career in the telecommunications industry at Southern Nevada Telephone. Frank worked his
way through the ranks and became a Supervisor of Installations and retired in 1995. Frank and
Patti were married in 1962. He enlisted and served in the Nevada National Guard for 8 years.
In his free time he enjoyed many outdoor activities like skiing, boating, fishing, camping, and
hunting with family and friends. He was also had a great interest in cars and trucks. He and
Patti attended many car shows with friends and he owned many different automobiles and
motorcycles throughout his life. His most recent outdoor accomplishment was a successful
deer hunting trip in October 2018 at the age of 81.
He was preceded in death by his father Stephen, brother John and mother Frances.
Franks internment will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Las Vegas, NV on December 7,
2019 at 12pm. A a gathering will be held that afternoon in Franks honor at the home of Steve
and Stephanie at 3pm.
