Harold Lloyd Hughes of Las Vegas was born in St. Catherines,Ontario, Canada.
Harold married Alva Lorraine(Styles) of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on July 9,1941.
From 1942-1946 he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and England.
Harold and Alva moved to the United States in 1953 and became U.S. citizens in 1958.
Harold was a member of IBEW Master Electrician Local 357, and was employed at the Nevada Test Site for 15 years. He was a high priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Harold served a mission in the Las Vegas Family History Center for over a year and served five years in the Las Vegas Temple.
He was sealed to his wife and chidlren, October 7,1953 in the Logan Temple
Harold was preceded in death by his daughters, Elizabeth Lois Hughes and Martha Laura Hughes; and two graddaughters, Angela Christina Hughes and Nicol Renee Adams.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alva; children, Reginal Leonard(Janet)Hughes of Provo, Utah, Marilyn Loma (Dolph) Agnello, Susan Lorraine(James)Slark and Jeannie L. Hanks all of Las Vegas; and 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27th, 2006 with funeral services to follow,at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel,
3400 West Charleston Blvd.
Interment immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery
7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
