Harold Jay Stubbs, 79, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018. He was born in Orem, Utah on May 27, 1938 to Albert Owen and Afton Salisbury Stubbs. Harold served in the United States Army, stationed in Fort Richardson, Alaska. He was a lifelong electrician working with various employers, including The Mirage, in which he worked for 23 years prior to retiring in February 2014. He was a wonderful, devoted husband, father and grandfather. His life centered around his family, who all loved him beyond words. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Glade, Dean, Leonard & Wayne. Harold is survived by his beloved wife Trudy; daughters Lori Matyskiel, Tina Sanchez & Krissi Lenox (Micah); grandchildren Jonathan, Nicole, Christian, Dylan, Quinton, Nicholas and Emma; and siblings Gerald Jerry Stubbs and Velma Darlene Collins. Visitation will be from 10:00am – 11:00am on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 6325 W. Hacienda, Las Vegas, Nevada 89118, with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 9:20am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
