Ina Reber Wagner

July 23, 1935 — October 31, 2004

Ina was born to Daisy Ina Leavitt Reber and Leonard Reber in St. George, Utah.  She was raised in Mesquite, where Ina graduated from Virgin Valley High School.  She received her associates degree from Dixie Collee in St. George, Utah and her bachelor of arts degree and teaching certificate from Brigham Young University.  Following graduation, she taught elementary school in Cedar City, Utah, transferring after a year to the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, where she taught at Red Rock Elementary.  It is in Las Vegas where Ina would meet her husband, Woodrow W. Wagner, Jr. where she would raise her 11 children, and where she would reside for the rest of her life.  Ina was proud to be a life time Nevadan and she took seriously her responsibility as a citizen of Nevada.  Following in the footsteps of her father, she was an active member of her community.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in that organization throughout her life.  These positions ranged from administratife to artistic, for she was a natural leader and was willing to serve in any capacity, especially if she could use her creative and musical abilities.  While her children were young, she was a member of her locat PTA, but as they grew, she turned her attentions to larger concerns both specific to her community and the nation as a whole.  She became active in the pro-Family Coalition and Citizens for a Responsible Government organization where she served as a local president and board member respectively.  Ina was also extremely proud of the children she raised.  All of her 11 children attended college with many of her children receiving diplomas and/or degrees ranging from the associates to professional degrees.  She was also very pleased that her children shared in her love of music and the arts.  Much to her delight, each of her children reads music, plays at least one musical instrument and sings.  Because of her influence, her large family sang and continues to sing together often.  She is survived by her husband, Dr. Woodrow W. Wagner Jr; her children, Woodrow III of Santa Clara, Uta(wife, Sheri) Wade of Las Vegas(wife, Rebecca) Wells  of South Jordan, Utah(wife, Amy) Ward of St. George, Utah(wife, Kristine),Joanna of Phoenix, Wayne of Las Vegas(wife Kelly), Jennifer and Janel of Las Vegas, Joni of Las Vegas(husband, Joshua Johnson), Winston of Las Vegas; her siblings, Nita Rae Hulet of St. George, Utah, Gwen Homer of Midvale, Utah, Clark of St. Geroge Utah and Kenneth of Sandy, Utah; and her 27 grandchildren.
