Jack M Wicha, Jr

It is with a great deal of sadness that the family of Jack M. Wicha Jr. announces his passing on February 9, 2024 in Las Vegas NV.

Jack was born on October 18, 1954 in Oceanside CA and grew up in Henderson NV. He graduated from Basic High School in 1973, with the first graduating class at the new High School.

After graduation, Jack served with the US Army in Germany. He later settled in Northern Virginia and then moved to Florida to be closer to his two young sons. Once they were older, he returned to his native Nevada.

Jack retired from Sysco Foods, as a Technology Support Specialist II, on October 30, 2020 after more than Twenty-three years of service in Florida and Las Vegas, NV

An avid reader, Jack loved History, especially Military History. He has been a football fan since playing during his High School years, and closely followed College and NFL teams.

He is survived by his two sons Evan (Jenn), Erik (Anna Katrina), three grandchildren; Paris, London and Berlin, and five sisters, Mary Schmidt, Lea Sexton, Aina Rodarte (Joe), Jennie Edwards (Mike) and Carrie Paldi (Danny).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, (1-5pm) 4716 Wells Fargo, NLV 89031. Burial will be private at the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in Jack’s name .
