Jessie Emmette was born in Fresno, CA and resided in Las Vegas since 1953. Jessie was a real estate broker. In 1973, she was the first woman president on the Nevada Board of Realtors. She was a member of the County Zoning Committee and Governor's Board. Jessie founded Safe Key and was the first chairwoman.
She was also a member of the Governor's Advice Council of JTPA.
She was a member of the Las Vegas Women's Chamber of Commerce and helped organize free credit seminars for realtors through PriMerit Bank throughout Nevada.
Jessie is survived by her daughters, Patricia Emmett-Chavez, Peggy Ann Emmett and Penny Emmett all of Las Vegas; sister, Hallie Maulding of Las Vegas;three grandchildren, Robert Sam Emmett, William Robert Wingfield, Sara ann Wingfield; and one great-grandchild, Lisette Martinez.
