Jonie Bl. Haile was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to James C and Ruby C. Haile.
She was a long time resident of Las Vegas.
Joni is survived by her mother, Ruby C. Haile of Donophon, Nebraska; her first husband and lifelong friend, Leo Bixenmann of Las Vegas; son,William ( Nancy) grandchildren, Bill Bixenmann and Nicole Bixenann, all of Las Vegas, and Sean Bixenmann; three great-grandchildren, one great,great-grandchild; sisters, Dorothy Enck of Grand Island, Nebraska,and Joyce (Carl)Petersen of Henderson; brother, Jim (Gail) Haile of Omaha, NE.;and many nieces,nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by husband, George G. Brazil;father, James C. Haile; and brother, Jack Haile.
Joni moved to Las Vegas in 1952, she saw the town grow into a mega resort. She worked in several casinos on the Strip and downtown. She retired from Binion's Horseshoe as a 21 dealer in 2000. Her family will remember her as the "Queen of Hearts".
The loves of her life were family and the many pets that she sheltered. She will be missed.
Vistation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 15,2006
at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Burial will be at a later date.
