Kai Matthew Tesoro, a bright and beautiful soul, was born on January 6, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV. Kai's time with us came to an end on June 6, 2024 in Las Vegas. We celebrate a life that beautifully embodied the essence of his name. Kai, signifying the ocean, symbolized his profound connection to nature's vastness and serenity, radiating joy and positivity throughout his lifetime. Matthew, meaning "gift of God," showcased Kai's unmatched qualities of love and joy, was a treasure on the hearts of all who knew him.
Kai leaves behind a loving family who adored him deeply. His loving mother, Tautiana, devoted sister, A'leia, adoring father, Cody, and extended family hold Kai close to their hearts as they navigate life without his infectious laughter and warm presence.
From the very beginning of his impactful life, Kai had a profound impact on those around him. Known for his insatiable appetite for all things delicious – especially bananas and applesauce – he earned the affectionate nickname "fat boil" among loved ones. His playful spirit led to another endearing moniker: "Kai Kai."
His love for spam rice and eggs was only surpassed by his passion for water; whether it was splashing around or simply gazing at its beauty, being near water brought him immeasurable happiness. And when music filled the air, little Kai couldn't resist dancing along while singing “E-I-E-I-O,” bringing smiles to everyone who witnessed his exuberance.
One of Kai's greatest joys was following his beloved sister, A'leia, with unwavering admiration. He showered her with besos (kisses) and high fives, reflecting the pure bond between siblings. In moments of quiet comfort, he found solace in snuggling up with his cherished "nana" blanket, a source of security during both playtime and rest.
Though our hearts ache from losing such an extraordinary young soul too soon, Kai's memory will forever live on through those whose lives were illuminated by knowing him. While he may have left this world far too early, we find solace in knowing that he has become an angel watching over us all. Kai's selfless act of organ donation has given other children the opportunity for a better life.
We kindly ask that those who wish to honor Kai's memory bring donation items to give back to the children in our community. These items include teaching tools, gift cards, infant toys, child toys, craft supplies, infant clothing, and children's clothing.
