EDGERTON---Katherine M. Bartlett, age 91, of Edgerton, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at Premier Care Rehabilitation Center, Beloit. She was born in Chicago on May 14, 1927, the daughter of James and Helen (Osgood) Allison. Katherine married Robert R. Bartlett on Sept. 14, 1946, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chicago. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1996. She had worked as a waitress at the Red Apple in Newville as well as for a financial consultant in the Chicago area. Katherine and Robert moved to Las Vegas in their retirement in the mid 1990’s. She was an active volunteer and enjoyed bowling and visiting the casinos, but the most important thing in her life was spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.
She is survived by her 4 children: Robert (Joni) Bartlett of Las Vegas, Curtis (Marci) Bartlett of Moody, AL, Richard (Lisa Marie) Bartlett of Janesville, and Kathy (John) Ozga of Edgerton; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Bartlett of Stanley, WI; 10 grandchildren: Dana Cardinale, Niki (Eric) Clarida, Alison (Frank) Hunt, Samantha (Louis) Leon, John (Lacey) Ozga, William Bartlett, Tyler Bartlett, Daniel Ozga, Joshua Bartlett and Brody Bartlett; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Loretta (Walter) Karn of Las Vegas; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Chester Leis; son, Wilbur Bartlett; brother, Chester Leis; and 4 sisters: Joan Murray, Barbara Rafferty, Patricia Parker, and Helen Moeller.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME, 315 Lord St. (Hwy 51) Edgerton where Fr. David Timmerman will preside at a Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m. Katherine will be buried in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Las Vegas next to her husband, Robert.
