Letter to Lea

Rosebud's going home today; it's so hard to let her go:
There are still some things inside my heart; that I really want you to know.
I find myself smiling every time I think of you;
You were always a true and loyal BFF...which is something that everyone knew.

God must have needed another angel, that's plain to see,
Why else would He be taking her from all of us, from you and from me?
Her love was unconditional and set no bounds;
I will struggle to accept the fact that she's no longer around.

Rosebud's going home today; to the most wonderful place;
It is the Kingdom of Heaven and is filled with God's good grace.
I know you're resting peacefully and wouldn't want me to cry,
I know you have gone to meet our Lord Jesus and that you did not die.

Rosebud's going home today; where she will make a place for me;
I know that when I join her, it is the place I will want to be.
From the moment she entered my life to her very last one;
She was our little Rosebud...second to none.

If I could turn back time and once more hear your voice;
Out of all the BFF's in the world, you'd be my very first choice.
I take joy in knowing that Rosebud will live forever;
She no longer has pain, hunger or thirst, no not again...ever.

Rosebud's going home today; to our Lord and Savior above;
Dear sweet Jesus, please go and find our little Rosebud...and give her all our love.
