Lee Edward Hornstein

Lee Hornstein, 83, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024.  He is survived by his wife, Cecile Hornstein; children, Michele Freeman, Ellen Hornstein and Steven Hornstein; his son-in-law, Joseph Freeman and his granddaughter Katie Freeman; his niece, Wendy DeSimone; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Barrett and her husband John, his nephew Michael Simcox and his family; his niece Stephanie Manspeaker and her family.

Lee eventually took over the family business, Joe Hornstein Theatre Equipment Inc.  Prior to that, he taught Special Education which he was very passionate about.

Lee enjoyed the Brooklyn Dodgers, watching movies and never met someone who didn’t become a fast friend.  He loved to tell stories and put a smile on everyone’s face.  He was greatly loved and will be missed by those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s, the Nevada Chapter of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) or a charity of your choice.
