Linday Cheney, 64 of Las Vegas was born in Butte, Montana and resided in Las Vegas for the past 40 years. A registerd nurse, Linda worked at Sunrise Hospital for 20 years where she was head of the surgical nurses. She worked for Las Vegas plastic surgeon, Dr. Kopp and often traveled with Dr. Kopp and his plastic surgery team to the remote villages of Mexico attending the residents who did not or could not afford medical care. At the time of her death, she was employed as director of nursing for the Southern Nevada Diagnostic Imaging Center in Las Vegas.
She graduated from Girls Central High School in Butte and St. Patrick School of Nursing in Missoula, Montana.
She is survived by her husband, Curt Cheney of Las Vegas; brother, Jack Vogel of Tigard, Oregon; brother-in-law, Al Cheney of Aptos, California; sisters-in-law Sharon Vogel and Mary Cheney and nieces and nephews, Greg Vogel, Lee Ann Rutlege of Oregon, Scott Cheney, Bob Cheney, Allen Cheney, Jr. and Cathy Sears from California.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18th,2006 at Bunkers Mortuary.
