Lloyd Morris was born in Wellington, KS on December 9, 1929. Lloyd’s parents were John Wesley Morris and Jessie Collins Morris, and he was #13 of 15 children. Lloyd graduated from Wellington High School in 1948, and moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1949. He married Willie Belle Morris on February 7, 1965. The Morris family was among the founding members of the Highland Square Seventh-Day Adventist Church, now known as the Abundant Life Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Lloyd worked for the Clark County Housing Authority for 34 years, from 1967 - 1991. Lloyd retired in 1991, and moved to Keene, TX in 1994, where he lived the remainder of his life. He is survived by his 8 children, Rodney Morris, Loren Morris, Marvin Brown, Candace Uqdah, Christopher Morris, Brian Morris, Paula Cancienne, and by his sister Gloria Darlene McKinney. Lloyd left a tremendous legacy, with 8 children, 31 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was a dedicated family man, an extremely hard worker, and a gifted pianist and baritone vocalist. Lloyd also made it his life calling to help people going through adverse circumstances. These truths were a byproduct of his deeply rooted faith in Jesus Christ.
