Lowell Richard Slater, 72 of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, August 24,2006. He was born March 30,1934 in Bloomington, Indiana and resided in Nevada for six years. Lowell was a retired carpenter and millwright and belonged to the Carpenters and Millwrights Local Union 1003.
He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Lowell loved collecting guns and knives, hunting and being outdoors. He loved working with wood and building different things. Lowell will be loved and missed always.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Clyde, mother, Ethel McLaughlin; son, Kevin Lamont; and sisters, Giula Grow and Dora Trenta.
He is survived by his daughters, Shanna (Don)Sims, and Brenda (Bobby) Garcia; ex-wife, Kathy Slatter; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30th,2006
9-10 a.m. with Services to follow.
