OBITUARY
MAGGIE L. DAVIS, 83, a longtime resident of North Las Vegas, passed away on November 7, 2019, surrounded by close family. She was born January 14, 1936, to Virginia Webb and Austin Woods in Oxford, MS. She was a kind and loving person who loved her family above all else. Maggie had a compassion for giving. Her smile, warm hugs, and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three children, Phillip Davis (Sherri), Phyllis Davis, and Rosemary Davis of Las Vegas; her brothers, Dave Lanton (Maxine), Las Vegas, NV; Albert Woods (Erma Dean), Racine, WI; and James (Mary) Woods, Oxford, MS; her sisters, Wadie Davis, Clara Jackson (Calvin) and Loistine Woods. She leaves four grandchildren, Shatanna, Louis, Phillip Jr., and Isaac; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of family, friends, and church family.
Visitation will be 3 p.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd North. Homegoing Celebration Service will be held, Friday, November 22, at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106. Repast will immediately follow after the service.
