Marvin K Cannon

March 10, 1917 — May 13, 2006

Marvin K. Cannon died May 13,2006 in a local hospital.  He was born March 10,1910 in St. George, Utah, to vern and Ada Cannon.  He was a member of the IBEW for more than 60 years, and worked as an electrical troubleshooter for the Union Pacific Railroad in Oregon as a young man.  During World War II, he worked for a governent military contractor in Hawaii, where he was seleted to do top-secret security projects.  He finished his electrical career in Las Vegas, working for a general contractor, as a foreman directing crews on major building projects involving strip hotels, malls and high schools.  When he retired, he moved to Pioche and lived on a farm belonging to friends, he occasionally assisted with various farming activities.  While in Pioche, he was able to enjoy his favorite past times of fishing, hunting, taking walks and visiting with his many friends.  He will be missed.  He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyne; son, Robert Cannon(Shirley) of St. George, granddaughter, Stacy Cannon of St. George, grandsons, Michael Cannon of Willis, texas and Robert E.(Duke) Cannon of Las Vegas; great-grandsons, Douglas Cannon, Isaiah cannon, both of St. George and Ty Cannon of Willis, Texas; great-grand-daughter, Amanda Whitten of St. George.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Ada Cannon, son Mike Cannon, and his sister, Mildren Rosenbruch.
