Neil Laval Garfield was born October 31, 1931, in Eureka, Utah, to Henry Christian and Garnet (Stewart) Garfield. He died November 25, 2020, in St. George, Utah, where he resided since 1999. Neil grew up in Milford, Utah, and joined the Air Force in 1949 earning an Honorable Discharge in 1953. He went to Utah State University on the GI Bill earning a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in 1958. He worked for Lockheed in Redlands, California, and Solar Turbines in San Diego, California, before retiring in 1988.
Neil is survived by his wife Patsy Evans Garfield, his sister, Carol Jean Johnson, and two grand-daughters, Jennifer Lynn Gehant and Heather Garnet Garfield. He was predeceased by two sons, Stephen Laval Garfield (1952-1988) and Curtis Evans Garfield (1958-1993). Neil loved camping, hiking, biking and boating.
