Nora A Harvey

Nora Ann (Gerson) Harvey, 88, long time residence of Las Vegas (73 years) passed away peacefully in her home with loved ones by her side on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018. She was born on March 30, 1930 in Ely, Nevada, to Herbert Gerson (Director of the Las Vegas Housing Authority) and Myrtle Donahue Gerson. She grew up in Pioche, Nevada and moved to Las Vegas in 1945. She attended Lincoln County High School and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1948. Her career was with Clark County, where she worked in the Department of Motor Vehicles, Recorders Office, Marriage License Bureau, County Clerk’s Office, and Juvenile Court Services. She retired from Clark County, in 1978.

Nora Ann was the loving wife of William C. Harvey (retired Local 525 Member) for 70 years. She is survived by her son, Dr. William F. Harvey (Jane); and daughter, Alice Harvey Raymond (Gary), 5 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Nora will be remembered as a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend.

Nora Ann enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, golf, knitting and playing the piano many times at family gatherings and her Church. She was a member of The Church of Christ Latter day Saints, Sandhills Ward.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 8th, at the LDS Sandhill’s Ward, 4040 E Wyoming, 89104 with Bishop Gary Kofford officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the chapel prior to the funeral services. Interment will be at Memory Gardens, 7251 West Lone Mountain Rd., 89129 at 1:30 p.m. Flowers can be received at 8am on June 8th at LDS Church 4040 E Wyoming St..
