Raquel “Rickie” Thormodsgard, 84 years old, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25th, 2018. Raquel was born in Los Angeles, California on July 28, 1933 to the late Roque Castro and Jessie Torres Valdivia but has spent the past 47 years as a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of nearly 56 years James Thormodsgard; daughter Beth Pitonzo and husband David Pitonzo and two grandsons, Michael Pitonzo and Jesse Pitonzo of Oak Ridge, North Carolina. She also has many loving nieces, nephews and cousins who will always remember the impact she had on their lives. Rickie was known for her humor, caring spirit and strong opinions. Adcock Elementary School in the late 1970’s as a playground attendant. Additionally, she was a devoted member of the congregation at Upland Bible Church in Las Vegas.
