Robert L Read

Robert passed away July 5, 2020 at the age of 75. He is proceeded in death by Billie, his wife of 51 years and his parents, Ivan and Blanche Read.
Robert was born January 10, 1945 in David County Missouri. He grew up on a small farm outside the little town of Gilman, Missouri. Here is where he met and married Billie Read on May 8, 1964.
Robert served his country enlisting in the United States Army January of 1964. Spending a majority of his 3 year term as a mechanic in Germany. He was honorably discharged February of 1967.
While living in Missouri Robert and Billie welcomed their first child, a daughter, Lesa before heading out west to California. While living in California their son Darrin was born. Robert moved his small family to Las Vegas, NV where he worked 30 years for Southwest Gas and enjoyed competition skeet shooting. He resided in Las Vegas until his passing.
Robert is survived by his children Lesa and Darrin, 3 granddaughters Megan, Macy and Melissa and 8 great grandchildren. Robert was a man who worked hard, loved his family harder and never turned his back on someone in need. Our lives have been forever changed and blessed by knowing Robert Lee Read.
