Sharon Ann Carson

July 23, 1946 — April 9, 2006

Sharon Ann Carson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully after a courageous five year battle with cancer.

Sharon was born, July 23, 1946 in Monrovia, California to Gilbert Earl Taylor and Anne Bramwell Tarylor.  Sharon grew up in Southern California and later attended college at BYU. She then moved to Las Vegas where she has lived for the past 35 years.  She was a devloted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many positions, most recently as relief society president.  She was employed at Tate, Snyder, Kimsey Architects and retired last year after 20 years there.  She loved time with family and trips together.  She loved to travel with her husband.  Most recently was their second trip to Guatemala.  She had wonderful experiences and developed a great love for the people there.  She has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made through any LDS Bishop to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Perpetual Education Fund.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn C. Carson of Las Vegas; children, (Mike) Tammy Mortensen of Richmond, Utah, Mark (Kim) Hollingshead of Las Vegas, Melanie Hollingdshead of Henderson, and (Perry) Elizabeth Smith of Costa Mesa, California; grandchildren, Makenzy, Cory and Dylan Mortensen, Drake, Ella and Boyad Hollingshead; older borther, Bert (Maudean) Taylor of Eagle Mountain, Utah and three children who she loved dearly.
She will be greatly missed.

Viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13th,2006 with funeral services to follow at 11:30 a.m.  Both at the Sun Valley Chapel
5100 Sun Valley Drive,
Las Vegas, Nevada

Interment will be at Palm Memorial Park- Valley View
7800 S. Eastern.
