Timothy Wayne Adkins

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Timothy Wayne Adkins on December 27, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments.

Tim was born in Gary, Indiana to parents Charles Adkins and Peggy (nee Smith).

He proudly served in the United States Army for 13 years; then followed that up by working as an Operating Engineer in Heavy Equipment.

Tim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elyse (nee Vela); sons, Justin Adkins and Anthony Crago (Michael Hunter); grandchildren, Jayla Adkins and Leila Adkins; mother, Peggy Adkins; sister, Rebecca Westerhout; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles and brother, David.

He was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.

Tim was witty and friendly.  He never met a stranger he didn’t like.  He loved his family more than anything in the world.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Special thanks to all his friends, family and loved ones for the continuous love and support over the years.  Family and friends were so important to Tim and what motivated him to be the best man, best father and best friend.  Tho he is gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, who will forever cherish the memories of his humor, storytelling, wisdom and guidance.
