Timothy John Shaughnessy

Timothy John Shaughnessy, 71, passed away on August 30, 2020 in Las Vegas Nevada.

Timothy was born in San Pedro, California to John and Arlene Shaughnessy on May 11, 1949. He married Joan Shaughnessy on June, 17, 1967 in Wilmington, California at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic church. Tim held many jobs throughout his career from managing a fast food restaurant in his youth to owning his own trucking company. He recently retired from his position as a Longshoremen at the Port of Long Beach. He enjoyed restoring collectable cars and was an avid car collector. He was a member of a toy train collector club as well as a member of the Elks Lodge. Unfortunately, even though Timothy won his battle with cancer he succumbed to health complications developed from side-effects of that treatment. Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Tim is survived by his wife Joan Shaughnessy, 2 children; his son Dwayne Shaughnessy and daughter-in-law Dannon Shaughnessy, his daughter Sheila Chavez and son-in-law Cameron Chavez; his brother Steve Shaughnessy; his 7 grandchildren; Shane Shaughnessy and wife Allison Shaughnessy, William (Scott) Shaughnessy, Christopher Chavez, Kimberly Chavez, Kaitlynn Shaughnessy, Kayla Shaughnessy, and Kassie Shaughnessy; and a great grandchild that is on its way.

A viewing for Tim will be at 9:00 a.m. the 25th day of September, 2020 followed by Funeral services at 10:00 a.m. September 25th 2020 at Bunkers Eden Vale Mortuary. The burial will take place at Bunkers Eden Vale Cemetery.
