Vern E Phillips

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vern Phillips, a cherished and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone he met.

Vern passed away on January 5th, 2024 at the age of 79. He was born January 21, 1945 in St. George, Utah to his parents Robert and Lenora Phillips, but spent the majority of his life in Las Vegas. Vern had many friends and acquaintances and had a unique story to share with anyone he met, he was a people person with an amazing personality who loved life.

He had many different jobs throughout his life in trucking and construction. He opened Construction Sealants & Supply over 45 years ago and continued working at the business up until the last year of his life. Vern's greatest joys included spending time with family and golfing with his buddies and grandsons. The golf course was his happy place.

Vern is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lenora Phillips, brothers Clifford Phillips and Douglas Phillips, and grandson Devin Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Frances Phillips (Graff), his 3 children, Tyler (Jayme) Phillips, Julie (Erik) Moreno, and Breck (Darlene) Phillips; 5 grandchildren Aleksandr (Elena) Phillips, Dakota (Maddie) Phillips, Tanner Phillips, Morgan Moreno, Gavin Moreno, and step grandchildren, Devon DelValle and Dustin Pelican.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on January 25th, 2025 at 10:00 am at the LDS Church at 1500 Amador Lane, Henderson, NV. There will be a viewing prior to the services beginning at 9:00 am. Vern will be laid to rest at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery.
