Wendell Odell Sinyard, 69 of Pahrump, passed away on Wednesday, March 21,2007. He was born on January 10,1938 in Antlers, Oklahoma and was a resident of Nevada for 65 years.
Wendell started out serving his country for two years after he left Las Vegas High School in 1954. When he returned from the U.S. Army, Wendell went to work for Jones Chemical in Henderson. After that he tried many different careers. He was a bus drive, postman and repairman for Southwest Gas. He owned a 76 station with his brother on the corner of Charleston and Bruce and a mobile home park in McGill.
Wendell was known for his humor and charm. He spent all of his off time with his family and brothers and made sure we spent time together on Easter and Thanksgiving. These were his two favorite holidays. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Sinyard; mother Foy Sinyard; brother, Robert and sister Wyvonn.
He is survived by his children, Jeff, Danny, Dean, Doug, Donny, Deborah; his stepdaughter, Michelle; four ex-wives, Ruth, Dandy, Gail, Laurel; and 12 grandchildren.
