Woodrow Wilson Wagner

July 27, 1941 — June 2, 2019

Dr. Woodrow Wilson Wagner Jr., age 77, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019. Born in Bell, California to Darlene and Woodrow Wagner Sr. in 1942, Woodrow's family moved to Nevada in 1950.
He graduated from Rancho High School in Las Vegas in 1959, and married Ina Reber of Mesquite, Nevada in 1960 while attending Brigham Young University. After graduating from BYU, he attended Washington University Dental School in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon completion, he and Ina, with their four children, moved back to Las Vegas where he practiced Dentistry for 39 years. He worked tirelessly to support his expanding family before retiring in 2005.
Woodrow was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in numerous teaching, service, and organizational callings throughout his lifetime. He served his community not only through his dental practice, but through active participation in the Boy Scouts of America organization -all seven of his sons received their Eagle Scout recognition. He loved family, friends, music, a good joke, and a good Western. He was a man of stature, strength, learning, and generosity. He was a pillar of faith and unconditional love.
In 2006 Woody married Janice Rasband, a wonderful woman who has been a blessing to the entire family. Woody was preceded in death by his wife Ina and his parents Darlene and Woodrow Sr.
He is survived by his wife Janice; his 11 children Woodrow III, Wade, Wells, Walter, Ward, Johanna, Wayne, Jennifer, Janel, Joni, Winston (and spouses); his siblings Linda, Marilyn, John, Ron, Steve, Shelly, and Victoria; his 36 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
We thank our Heavenly Father that we have been blessed to call Woody husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
